A three-night session on a Hampshire club water gave Matthew Lockett an incredible haul including three 30s and a 40.

Fishing at Northfield Lake on the Ringwood & District AA ticket, Matthew caught a mirror of 40lb 15oz, plus others of 32lb 6oz, 31lb 4oz and 30lb 14oz.

He also managed two upper doubles and four 20s to 29lb 12oz.

I simply introduced 10 Spombs at the beginning and more when I felt necessary, like after a fish.

I fished all three rods on Ronnie rigs with two on pink Northern Special + pop-ups and one on a white one. The fish came to both tactics and I ended up with a great tally of fish.
